Daniel Anthony and Robb Topolski

Daniel Anthony has been a member of the Surftones since 2014 and quickly became a musical leader through his skill, training, and musicianship. Since 2017, he has served as a music teacher at Nauset Regional High School, where he directs the First Encounter Jazz Ensemble, Concert Band, String Orchestra, and Percussion Ensemble. As our resident music theory expert, he brings a deep understanding of not only the art of music, but also its language and structure. A graduate of Barnstable High School, Dan went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in Music Education from the University of Massachusetts Amherst before returning to Cape Cod, where he has since begun raising a family.

Robb Topolski is a dedicated choral director with more than 30 years of combined education and experience. He completed the Certified Director requirements for the Barbershop Harmony Society in 2004 and joined the Surftones after moving to the Cape in 2009. His musical journey has led him to lead a wide variety of ensembles, including high school choirs, church groups, barbershop choruses, a cappella quartets, and corporate singing groups. With a deep understanding of choral technique, stagecraft, and performance, Robb creates inspiring and engaging musical experiences for singers of all levels and for the audiences they reach.
